Bare infinitives
- Saat menggunakan kata bantu modal (auxiliary verbs) seperti can, could, shall, should, must,may dan might. Contoh: I can swim.
- Setelah kata let, make see, hear, feel, watch, notice, help karena diikuti pola objek + bare infinitives. Contoh: They let me join the game.
- Setelah kata would rather, rather than, had better. Contoh I would rather stay with her.

- Setelah kata sifat (adjective). Contoh: I am happy to see you.
- Setelah kata the first, the second dan seterusnya. Contoh: I am the first to finish the task.
- Ketika mengungkapkan tujuan. I come here today to give you this thing.
- Setelah pola too + adjective + to. Contoh: She is too young to get married.
- Setelah pola ajective + enough + to + infinitive. Contoh: She is old enough to vote.
- Setelah kata kerja yang diikuti oleh objek + to infinitive. Seperti berikut:
