Apostrophe s (‘s)

Fungsi apostrophe s (‘s) digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kepemilikan.

Contoh: This is Steve’s bag. (Ini adalah tas milik Steven.)

Aturan penggunaan

‘s di tambahkan di akhir kata benda tunggal dan kata benda jamak tidak beraturan,contoh Peter’s bag, children’s toy, women’s clothes.
Kata benda jamak yang berkahiran -s maka cukup ditambahkan tanda petik saja setelah huruf -s, contoh: Students’ book, parents’ house, friends’ cars.
Kata benda tidak bernyawa tidak bisa menggunakn ‘s, sebagai gantinya menggunakan of, contoh: cover of the book, windows of the house.
